Effective March 15, 2026, I will be stepping away from posting on the Chart Talk: Anesthesia Coding Conversations blog.

When I started this blog, my goal was simple: to create a space where anesthesia coders, auditors, and revenue cycle professionals could come together to learn, reflect, and grow through shared experiences and coding discussions. I envisioned a place where we could interact, discuss coding scenarios, and support one another in navigating the complexities of anesthesia coding.

Over time, however, I have realized that the interaction and engagement I had hoped for hasn’t really developed. Without that exchange of ideas and discussion, it’s difficult to know whether the content is truly helping or assisting anyone.

Because of that, I feel it may be time to pause and consider whether my time and efforts might be better served focusing on a new or different project.

Did I waste my time creating this blog? Absolutely not. Writing these posts brought me a great deal of joy because I truly believed—and hoped—that the information might help someone along the way. Preparing content, researching guidelines, and organizing educational material takes time, but it was always done with the intention of supporting others in our profession.

For now, I’m going to take a step back and think about what the next steps might look like. Perhaps the format needs to change, or maybe this simply isn’t the best platform for the kind of collaboration and discussion I had envisioned.

To those who followed along, thank you. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to read and support the journey.

I wish each of you the very best in your work and continued growth in the field. And please know that if there is ever a way I can help, answer a question, or discuss a coding scenario, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Sometimes taking a pause is simply part of finding the right path forward.
